St. Louis Hotel Renovation

The historic St. Louis Hotel built in 1913 in Calgary’s East Village contained 60 rooms, a bar, a café, a barbershop, and a cigar stand. The structural improvement, envelope, and rejuvenation of its front façade and interior space is an important step towards re-establishing the emerging East Village with the New Central Library and Downtown.

I enjoyed working with Omar on four projects over three years, and found him to be a proactive, capable architect with a calm well considered and clearly communicated approach, and to be a kind and likeable person. I’m confident that a project with Omar is in good hands.
